Letters you already get elsewhere
Keep getting your letters as usual: your mail app sends a copy of each service's letters on to the AlertKeeper address. Make one filter per service, by the address its letters come from.
Steps
- Find the service's sender: open one of its letters and look at the address after From.
- Choose your mail app below and follow its page: one filter (or rule) per service.
- Use a +word for each service: forward to yourname.alerts+servicename@gmail.com. If your mail app changes the sender when it forwards, AlertKeeper still knows the service from the +word.
What you should see
- The service's next letter arrives on Alerts under the service, and the Mailbox page's letter count goes up.
If it doesn't work
- The letter shows under Review as from a sender AlertKeeper doesn't know: forwarding changed the sender. Put it with the service there, or forward to the service's +word address.
- Nothing arrives: check the filter's sender address is exactly the one in the letters' From, and look in the AlertKeeper Gmail's Spam.
